This season launched in the Summer of 1997. I had just purchased a Casio QV-120 digital camera which allowed me to shoot small image sequences. I used this feature to shoot images of myself and I also shot to some old Super 8 footage that I had collected and played back on a thrift store projector. At the time I was excited that I could use a digital camera to create small sequences and I turned these into animated gifs which you can see in a few of the projects. I also started experimenting with 3D software to make extruded type. I believe I used Pixar Typestry to make the rotating "S" above. All of this seems really primitive now but at the time it was was quite labor intensive to execute given the tools and technology.
