The Tarmac explores stop action using slot cars and toys as well as two Flash pieces that are more etherial using sound. I don't recall how, but some of the extra images of the slot cars eventually found their way onto the Braid 'Please Drive Faster' single on Polyvinyl that came out in 1999. During the Summer of 1998 I was living on Metropolitan Ave. in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and had recently quit my job to go freelance. I spent a great deal of time at home going deeper into personal explorations and trying to hustle up work. I ate a lot of Thai food and went to many punk and hardcore shows at Brownies on Avenue A. It was a lonely summer but I was learning alot.
